The mission of St Georges' music program is to provide the congregation with an opportunity to sing prayerfully and with joy to God, and to experience choral and instrumental music that inspires and stretches both the listener and the musician in worship.

Mission

The power of music to connect heart and mind and to elevate the spirit cannot be denied. Therefore, it is the mission of the music program to provide quality choral and instrumental music of all centuries that inspires and stretches both the listener and the musician in worship. The traditional, classically based program provides two choirs for volunteers of all ages and abilities.

Music

The power of music to connect heart and mind and to elevate the spirit cannot be denied.

St. George's has a long tradition of the finest in Anglican Church music and a music library spanning over 100 years. Previous directors/organists have included some of the finest artists in their fields and produced programs of the highest caliber. With our fine acoustics, superb Moller Pipe/Johannus Digital - Hybrid organ, Yamaha Concert Grand Piano, dedicated staff and choir, we have excellent resources. The program is presently in the most capable hands of Dr. Donna Clavijo.

Adult Choir

A choir of dedicated adults, this Choir consists of approximately 16 voices of various levels of expertise. Rehearsing weekly and singing for the 10:30 am service, the Adult Choir also sings for festival services and offers a wide variety of other special events through the church year. Although there is no audition to join this group, the ability to read music is encouraged and helpful.
